Family Day Care (FDC) is early education and care provided by a qualified educator from within their family day care home or an approved venue. Families who use FDC are eligible for the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy.

Educators are supervised and operate under the Education and Care Services National Regulations as well as the Early Years Learning Framework, receiving regular compliance and accreditation checks.

Individual services differ, however, many FDC settings offer a caring environment for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years where learning and development is nurtured.

Many services are also open for holiday care, before and after school care, after hours and even overnight care.
