Educator Profile
Nita is a mum of two and grandmother. Children have always been Nita’s passion and she has been an Educator in Geraldton for many years.
Nita believes children are not only our future, but our “now”, understanding that children need to be given the opportunity to learn through play while developing friendships.
Nita’s environment is child oriented, which promotes self-discovery, the development of life skills and an opportunity to mix with larger peer groups. Included in her environment is a shaded sand pit, a large lawn area and opportunity for all children to use imaginations to explore. Nita has an old faithful dog that is an important part of her family and the children take part in looking after him. Nita’s outdoor environment is equipped with a large patio area to encourage outdoor play in all weather.
Nita provides regular outings for the children with another local Family Day Care Educators. Children enjoy trips to local parks, the wildlife park and other exciting adventures ensuring her family day care children have the opportunity to connect with the local community.
