Dream Big Family Day Care
At Dream Big Family day-care we encourage the children to have time around animals and enjoy as much outdoors time as possible. We have a dog and bunnies here, and a beautiful mud kitchen of which I regularly update with new equipment to keep the children interested and involved. Recently we added a new china tea set, melon ballers and silver tea spoons!.
Here we also have a great focus on social skills and relationships. Currently on Tuesdays my mother (who has her certificate 3 in childcare and special needs) attends and the children enjoy ‘grandmas day’. Also on Thursdays we have a group play date with a fellow family day-care to encourage the children to broaden their relationships.
We do lots of painting, cooking, drawing, construction and so much more on a regular basis and also attempt to incorporate world wide festivals and celebrations into our craft and activities each month.
I provide a program and encourage families to provide as much input into it as possible and use this to scaffold the children’s learning using play and their own individual interests building upon activities and observations made each day. I am passionate about using photos to capture the children’s learning journeys and share these daily with families.
We have been operating since 2017 and hope that my home can be a second home to the children and families who attend here.
